Gatimaan Express happens to be the first semi-high speed train of India that runs between Delhi and Agra. The idea to launch Gatimaan Express was officially announced in June 2015 by Indian Railways. On 5 April 2016, the train gave its first service to the public.
Gatimaan Express is among one of the fastest trains in India and covers a distance of 188 km in just 100 minutes. Nizamuddin Railway Station is the starting point of the journey which ends at Agra Cantonment Railway Station.

All you need to know about Gatimaan Express
The train is painted in navy blue and grey color having a yellow stripe in the middle. There are 10 coaches in the train among which two caches are executive AC chair car coaches and the rest are AC chair car coaches. The coaches are designed according to the needs of the passengers. There are overall three managers in the train while there is one male and female host for every coach to serve the needs of passengers.
As it is one of the luxurious train in India, Gatimaan Express welcomes its passengers by giving flowers and chocolates.
The train operates a tour of 2 days and takes you to the beautiful Mughal attractions of Agra. Not only is the destination, the journey itself filled with memorable events. The facilities provided by train is world class.
The decorations and the meals also can’t be forgotten easily. The train departs from Nizamuddin Railway Station at 8.10 AM and in around two hours it reach Agra Cantonment Railway Station at 9.50 AM. In the return journey the train leaves Agra at 5.50 PM and reach Nizamuddin at 7.30 PM.

Day 1- Nizamuddin railway station is the starting point of the tour

1. Agra Fort

2. Daulah Tomb
Also known as Tomb of Itimad- Ud-Daulah, this place is in Agra is a Mughal Mausoleum. This place is also refereed as a jewel box baby Taj and also as a little abstract of Taj Mahal because of its similarities with Taj. The walls of this tomb is made from white marbles from Rajasthan. 3. Mehtab Bagh
Mehtab Bagh is also known as Moonlight garden and located behind the Taj Mahal. This garden was built by shah Jahan for having an exact view of the Taj Mahal. History says that Shah Jahan chose this place to construct a black building similar to Taj Mahal but after getting imprisoned by his own son, his wish remained as a wish. There’s nothing much attractive in this garden but the view of Taj Mahal from here is breath taking.
4. Taj Mahal
TajMahal is the reason why people visit Agra. This beautiful monument also known as one of the seven wonders of world is constructed fully using white marbles. The Taj Mahal is a symbol of love and constructed by Shah Jahan in the remembrance of his wife Mumtaz Mahal.
5. Fatehpur Sikri
Fatehpur Sikri is a city which was the capital of Mughal Emperor until 1585. There are many monument constructed from red marbles to see in this city like Buland Darwaza, Jodhabai Palace, Jama Masjid, Panch Mahal and others
Sikandra is one of the best maintained and preserved monument in the city. The construction of this monument represent both the Hindu and Muslim style architecture. This place is mausoleum of Emperor Akbar and defines his outlooks on philosophy and secularity.
